In Search of Humanity

By Jarik Conrad

“In this timely and important book, Jarik Conrad shows how America can become a better version of itself — more open, more fair, and more inclusive. Any leader of any kind ought to reckon with his argument and heed his call for change.”

Never Accept The Status Quo!

“In an era when Americans seem more divided than United, Jarik has devoted himself to advocating reasoned and sound evaluation of highly charged societal issues.

Jarik writes and speaks with the conviction of a man who rose above the petty bigotry he experienced almost daily.

Long before he had formulated his concepts of emotional intelligence, he was perhaps unknowingly developing these precepts in how he rose from a life where he could have just settled.”

Susan Hamilton, Former Chief Diversity Officer

BOOKS

From an evolutionary standpoint, we are programmed to reject others who are different, and it is up to businesses, in collaboration with governments, to overcome this biological impediment by atoning for past atrocities and rallying us around our shared humanity.

Dr. Conrad not only provides insight into what daily life is like for African Americans and individuals who are poor, he offers as innovative approach to overcoming these challenges based on what scientists have uncovered about the human brain – its brilliance, as well as its fragility.
